This fun activity involves matching of segments with the same length and provides a foundation for work with subtracting integers. Students sort and match cards on 15 digital screens.

Each star card shows a length or distance from 8 to 24 units.
Each arrow card show shows a segment from 0 to an integer, or between a negative integer and its opposite.
The infinity and spiral cards show other segments connecting two integers. For example, a segment from -14 to –4 is the same length as a segment from 4 to 14.
